Aver Eden Rouse began her career in 2005 with the Atlanta Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office. From there, she began representing clients as a Senior Attorney with the Dekalb County, GA government. In these early years of lawyering, Eden represented hundreds of clients through negotiations and trials. Because of this experience, she was chosen as a Compliance Attorney/Fellow with the Georgia Supreme Court's Committee on Justice for Children (CJ4C). In this role she was tasked with reviewing cases of children languishing in foster care to help break through legal barriers and obtain permanency.

Aver Eden attended, and earned her Juris Doctorate from, the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana. She obtained her Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Alabama A&M University, a Historically Black College & University in Huntsville, AL.
