A. Eden Rouse, ESQ., CCEP

Attorney Aver Eden Rouse pursued and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice at Alabama A&M University, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).  Following graduation, she spent the early years of her career working with at-risk youth as a Behavioral Health Counselor in a residential treatment facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Aver Eden subsequently taught Language Arts as a Special Education teacher for Behaviorally Disabled students in the Indianapolis Public School System. Soon after, she attended and graduated from, the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

 

After admission to the Georgia Bar, Attorney Rouse continued her passion for public service by working as a Public Defender with the Atlanta Judicial Circuit Defender's Office where she represented hundreds of clients in criminal cases. She then continued serving the best interest of at-risk youth as an Assistant Special Assistant Attorney General representing the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services, as a Child Advocate Attorney representing abused and neglected children for Dekalb County, Georgia and was appointed as one of two attorneys for the seminal Juvenile Drug Court program in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Attorney Rouse continued her “fight” for at-risk youth as a Cold Case Fellow for the Supreme Court of Georgia Committee on Justice for Children. 

 

After relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina, the second-largest financial center in the United States, Attorney Rouse transitioned to a premier Fortune 50 financial institution, where she worked for almost a decade before re-opening her law practice. During her time in the corporate arena, as Vice President and Compliance Officer she guided multiple business groups, to include Commercial Real Estate, Human Resources, and Conduct Management, by drafting and implementing policies and ethical standards to ensure compliance with A-Z banking regulations, thereby increasing integrity and risk mitigation, while improving transparency, and trust within the institution. 

 

Attorney Rouse is a continuous learner and a creative. In her spare time, she is enhancing her interest in design and construction by studying Interior Design and General Contracting.
